Success Stories
Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad
Before engaging The Curtis Group to create a development plan, the only major fundraising this nonprofit had done in years was an annual mailing performed by volunteers.
Among our recommendations were hiring a full-time development director, expanding the board with proven fundraisers, and creating a marketing program to communicate the crucial message that the rescue squad is all volunteer.
By accomplishing these activities, the organization’s awareness has grown dramatically. Today the rescue squad is now in the midst of a $1.5 capital campaign and the assets of its foundation have increased significantly.
