St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children
The board of this nonprofit had yet to conduct any fundraising at the time they contracted with The Curtis Group to create a development plan and structure its development office.
Our detailed plan included training St. Mary’s board members in fundraising, helping them find and hire an experienced development staff, and researching and cultivating major donors.
Later, St. Mary’s launched an annual giving campaign and conducted a successful $4 million capital campaign for a new building, which has become St. Mary’s new home. They have since added a planned-giving program to their development efforts.

“I have worked with The Curtis Group on several occasions and have been consistently impressed with their organization and ability to handle all facets of the fundraising process. They provided all of the necessary ingredients, from organizing and training the volunteers to planning and coordinating fundraising events. They are very focused in their approach, and the professional manner in which they communicate allows them to prompt volunteers and staff to do whatever is necessary for a successful campaign.”
